In 19th-century France, Jean ValJean, who for decades has been hunted by the ruthless policeman Javert after breaking parole, agrees to care for a factory worker's daughter. The decision changes their lives forever....
We have all seen the West End production of Les Miserables numerous times, and so we decided that our students were ready to tackle the demanding score. Matt McPherson played an incredible 'Jean ValJean' with an equally incredible performance of 'Javert' by James Lloyd. But it isn't just the leads that help create a successful show, being blessed with such talented students at AGF, ensures the 'ensemble' are never in the background, but the CORE to another outstanding performance. Other roles were performed by former AGF students Sian Welby, Harriet Ryder, Ben Astle, Oli Towse, Daisy Fairclough to name but a few.
The performance took place at the Newark Palace Theatre.
