AGF Performing Arts


Private Singing Lessons are offered to all students. These can be done as a solo lesson or small group singing lesson. Solo and Group Singing lessons are currently run by Josh Kemp. However, Isla Keys is our guest teacher, with the occasional lesson. If you are interested in booking for either our solo lessons or group lessons, please 'contact us' for further information.

Josh Kemp
Josh is a Singer, Musical Director and Composer from Nottingham. As well as regularly teaching private lessons and technique workshops for AGF, Josh's musical directing credits include Sweeney Todd; The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Into the Woods, Sound of Music and Whistle Down the Wind. Josh's performance credits include; performing in the Nottingham Market Square for the Olympic Torch Ceremony 2012, 'Ethan in The Full Monty', 'Will Parker in Oklahoma' and for multiple festivals including Y not Festival, Oxford Folk Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.


Isla Keys - Guest Teacher 
Having completed an MA in Music and French at the University of St.Andrews, Isla Keys studied singing in Switzerland, where she worked with several choirs as director, accompanist and singer. She returned to the UK in 1985, and based in Nottingham, ran the St.Mary's Girls' Choir for 20 years. Head of Music at a local preparatory school for 25 years, Isla has also taught singing at Dagfa School since 2004, where many of her students have achieved excellent examination results. She firmly believes that everyone can sing, and enjoys giving the encouragement and tuition which lead to competent and assured performance.
